10 MINUTE HOMEMADE BISCUIT RECIPE

BETTER (AND HEALTHIER) THAN BETTY CROCKER - HOMEMADE BISCUITS

𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦:

  • 2 cups of loosely packed all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 6 tablespoons of cold, unsalted butter (cubed or grated)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar (can substitute honey)
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 3/4 cups of milk

𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗧𝗢:

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  • Add in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Gradually add the milk, mixing until just combined. Do not over mix.
  • Knead the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat it into a 3/4-inch thick circle.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or a knife to cut out biscuits. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
